Raised in Waller County Precinct 1 and proud to call it home, Candice Gresham Adams has dedicated her career to serving the people of this community. With more than 17 years of hands-on experience working in the Waller County justice system, Candice understands both the responsibilities and the heart of the Precinct 1 Justice Court.
Starting her public service career with Waller County in 2008, Candice has served in multiple court clerk roles, most recently as Chief Court Clerk for the past 8 years at Justice of the Peace, Pct. 1. In that time, she has managed the court with professionalism, competence, and efficiency.
With nearly a decade of administering this court, Candice would step into the role of Judge fully prepared, meaning there will be little to no learning curve or personnel changes. The great service the community has come to expect will continue without interruption.
Candice is ready to hit the ground running because she already knows the job and what the position requires. Her experience ensures a smooth transition and continued dependable service for the people of Waller County.
Through her years in public service, Candice has developed a deep understanding of the law, justice court procedures and practices, and the importance of applying the law consistently while listening to the people it serves. Her campaign is built on integrity, transparency, and a genuine commitment to the community that raised her.
A lifelong Hempstead resident, Candice has built her life and raised her family here alongside her husband, Brandon, and their two daughters, Mallory and Megan. She is an active member of First Baptist Church Hempstead and takes pride in supporting events that strengthen community connections across Waller County. Candice has served as Vice Chairman of the Waller County Child Welfare Board for the past three years and has contributed her time and insight on numerous Hempstead ISD committees, including the Strategic Planning Committee, and PTO.
With the experience, knowledge, and dedication the job requires, Candice Gresham Adams is ready to deliver trusted justice for Waller County.

Having spent years serving in Waller County’s courts, Candice has gained the knowledge, experience, and leadership skills needed to lead Justice of the Peace Precinct 1 into the future.
By retaining experienced court personnel, she will ensure a smooth transition allowing her to focus on improving court practices, staying current with ever-changing laws, and serving the public efficiently from day one.
